Mike Callicrate is an independent cattle producer, feedyard owner, business entrepreneur and political activist in St. Francis Kansas. In 2000, he formed a value-added meat company called Ranch Foods Direct to go around the highly concentrated big food companies that were exploiting family farmers, ranchers, and consumers. The fabrication plant and retail store processes and markets high quality all-natural beef in Colorado Springs. Callicrate works everyday on ways to increase income at the farm and ranch gate for all family farmers and ranchers while providing good food to eaters. Mike will present From Pasture to Plate.
